"Ecclesiastes" Presentation by Cal Seerveld

Paideia fellow in Philosophical Aesthetics, Calvin Seerveld, has written a play about the book of Ecclesiastes. He sees the book of Ecclesiastes as a unified chorus of voices and includes Qohelet being confronted by a Woman Wisdom voice (along with a sevenfold refrain in the book) until he slowly submits to join her peroration in chapter 11.  There are also a couple of "rabbi's in training" voices quoting proverbs to try to tune in to what Qohelet is ruminating about, "What's all human effort worth, if it ends in death?"

This presentation will be happening in April at a couple locations in Hamilton and Ancaster as well as in Toronto. Full details are below. There will be a Q&A after the presentation.
