Ron Hedelius

Ron is the chair of the board of the Paideia Centre.

Ron has recently retired from the Halton Region Board of Education’s Career Counselling Centre where lecturing, testing, individual counselling and mentoring activities were his primary mandate. Prior to this, Ron’s experience and training included over 30 years of business management, specializing in all facets of career development issues within the Outplacement/Relocation industry. In this capacity Ron’s major mandate was to generate strategic human resource planning, program development and operations management where he functioned as Vice President, Director and Managing Partner of several major outplacement corporations. Along with his corporate responsibilities, Ron also functioned as lecturer and counsellor at McMaster University where he researched, designed and delivered career oriented lectures and seminars for graduate and under graduate students. Ron’s earlier career involved financial control, cost accounting and project management within the steel manufacturing industry, both in Canada and the United States.

Mr. Ed Pypker

Ed grew up in the Toronto area. Studying under Dr. Runner and Dr. Spykman as a young college student sparked the desire to integrate his faith with daily life. He has a BA in Economics from York University.

For the past 25 years Ed has worked in labour relations and human resources. His first twenty two years was spent working in a variety of positions with the Christian Labour Association of Canada. More recently, he has been a director of labour relations with a large Canadian food manufacturer.

Mr. Stephen Lazarus

Stephen Lazarus is a currently a consultant with the US Department of Labor, specializing in implementing workforce collaborations that draw on the strengths of faith-based organizations. He formerly served as a social policy analyst with the Center for Public Justice in Washington, D.C. for ten years. While in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Albert Oosterhoff

Albert Oosterhoff holds a B.A. and a J.D. from The University of Western Ontario, and an LL.M from the University of Toronto. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1966 and practiced in London. He taught at the Faculty of Law, University of Windsor from 1969 to 1972. He joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Western Ontario in 1972, where he taught Property, Trusts, and Wills and held the positions of Associate Dean and Acting Dean. Albert retired in 2005 with the title Professor Emeritus. From 2005 to 2010 he taught as Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto.

Rev. Bill DeJong

The pastor of Cornerstone Canadian Reformed Church in Hamilton, Ontario, Bill DeJong is married to Kim with whom he has four sons (Calvin, Alex, Jacob, and Ian). He is also a PhD student at McMaster
Divinity College and is interested in the neuroscience of emotions, developmental psychology, practical theology, and the phenomenology of empathy. He is excited about Paideia's vision to renew and advance Neocalvinistic scholarship and its potential to shepherd a new generation of Christian scholars.
